Looks like a fail also on whoever boxed it up.

That was my thought at first, but he did put the air packets inside and there were a few left that didn't spill out. The whole top of the box was torn off. Even crappy shipping wouldn't have caused it to open that bad.

Look at this photo and tell me this isn't how we actually received a firearm today from the usps.

Man! That never not sucks. I request of shippers that they double-box (at my expense), with 2-3" padded space on all SIX sides of the original box... because the shipping chimpanzees will deliberately hurl your packages onto solid concrete from the rooftop.

That said, I sawr on the local tv news a USPS truck had crashed on a fwy out your way. Mayhaps this box which spent the night laying in a crushed pile in the iceplant, was on it. Who knows.

Not USPS package related, but letter related... I'm in Fremont and was mailing a Fremont customer a check. It took 8 days and routed through Oakland before it got to him. No idea what happened.. in the meantime I had used USPS to ship a package to the east coast and that got there faster than the envelope that should have never left Fremont.

I ordered an item on ebay from a seller in southern California. was routed through Michigan, and then back here to northern California
