Just an FYI I heard from our County Sheriff (Madera County Jay Varney, GOOD man) at a local petition meeting. When signing, make sure your address is complete, and your signature is exactly like it is on your voter registration form, or the signature will likely be tossed out. Spell out "lane", "road", "avenue", "street", "drive", etc. Your signature can be viewed online at your county registrars website. They are looking for ANY reason to nullify signatures.

Alameda is not viewable. Neither is your name to verify how it was done either. I re-registered because I couldn't remember how my name was. (first last, first middle last, first middle middle last, etc...)

My info may or may not be accurate. They did state it several times. ??? Just passing it along.

I just checked mine and it did not show a signature, but all other info is there. Maybe its FUD, but the sheriff did say to spell out all the info.

I think what is viewable is different per county. I had others say your name will be viewable, but it wasn't for Alameda. Looks like for your county it shows name. Maybe some other counties it shows signature too.

Joe here at the shop has taken a set of petitions home with him to collect signatures as he talks to neighbors or people he runs into. He's got 9 just last night by doing this.

remember you don't have to navigate the DMV to vote anymore.

Sucks that we have to get "approval" from the A holes that want us gone, and they get to call the rules as they go along.

What is the deadline for the petitions to be turned in?

Just got off phone with LA Registrar after fighting the puter system.

Still not sure about the "Spell Everything Out" advice. My address is listed as "Ave" on registration. Not "Avenue". Lady on phone said shouldn't matter.

My problem with their Puter system was that my registered Name includes a middle initial, and a suffix. System rejected me because I typed them in the window.

Lady on phn said my name, including M/I and Suffix is how it shows on registration.

I was cautioned by Steven at Omega Burger in Bellflower to not let any writing extend beyond designated area of petition. Into the right hand "FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY" column. So I didn't.

If that is correct, circulators need to inform signers.

BIG TIP OF THE HAT TO ALL YOU FFLS DOING THS

                            LA Cnty actually SHOWS NOTHING.

You enter [4 lines] LAST name only, DOB, "Numbers" of address only, ZipCode

And it just "confirms or denies" if you are registered. Nothing more other than if you are signed up for "vote by mail" or not.

Nice, got an email tonight asking if I could bring petitions to a big bbq tomorrow afternoon we close the shop. I'm going to do it. Even if I only get another 20 or 30 signatures is worth using some of my time off.

I have to say our organizers out here in the desert are great. I called for more petitions expecting them to show up in a day or so and they were delivered in four hours.
You, you, and you: Panic. The rest of you, come with me.
Incoming fire has the right of way.
