Sigh..... So I get a phone call today asking if we will accept a firearm from a non licensee. We do. I tell the guy on the phone how to do it and what we want with the firearm shipment so we can process the transfer. Guy is super cool on the phone and this thread isn't about him. Its about the guy who sent me a gun 10 minutes later when FedEx shows up for their daily delivery.
I got another gun with NO contact info for who this firearm is for. We are getting 200 interstate transfers last month and I assume we are going to continue that trend into December.
Here's my gripe people who aren't FFLS.
If you want to SAVE MONEY and not send through another FFL then send everything that we need to contact YOUR customer. I'm getting tired of being the idiot who has to track YOU down for information about the gun YOU sold. I swear if I get another box that literally only has a rifle inside I'm going to stop accepting guns from non licensees. We don't have time to waste tracking down your buyers name and number. When I get 15 guns in a day and I have to waste 30 minutes trying to figure out who this belongs to make me want to stop accepting from YOU the public. Lots of people do it right, lots do it wrong. If you're reading this consider it a public service announcement and do it the right way. Or when then time comes for you to sell a firearm and the other FFL wont accept it from you direct you know why! If everyone does it right it will be easier and cheaper for the whole community.
