I agree. High priority to educate and nurture shooters of all ages and experiences. Good FFLs maybe one of the main contributors to rebuilding this country.
I helped a gal going through a DV situation. Watched her change as she went through the emergency RO, court, etc. . . When she first came in, I helped her find the right pistol for herself, recommended ammo choices, helped her with her shooting technique, etc. . .
Months later, this former passive little mouse developed into a strong, self-confident gal. Every time that she comes in, she acts like a child with a huge grin as she's showing me her target to prove how well she shot that day.
We have a responsibility as instructors and educators because we know that even the most experienced commando shooter, really don't know jack. I always tell the folks that I talk to that they should try and learn something new every time that they come in.
