Worst case, file out a DROS worksheet and enter it later. Just let the customer know that the time does not start until it is submitted.

Just finished running the paper DROS's I had set aside.

The deliveries were fun: "GOT IT!, YOU, YOU AND YOU, LAST NAMES.."

Every time this happens, I think of the $24 million in DROS fees that could have been spent on the DES system.

But wait, it never goes down according to the DOJ. I'm going to ask my question again with them to see if their answer changes on how to release a firearm when their system is down.

DOJ Response (12/22/2015 08:19 AM ): Unfortunately, dealers are not be able to release firearms when the DROS Entry System is offline. Dealers have to wait until the system is back up. Sorry for the inconvenience.

DOJ Response (12/22/2015 12:18 PM ): You wouldn't be able to release the firearms at that time if the system is down. All firearm delivery's need to be done electronically pursuant to PC 28255 & 28160 (40)(c)
