So you pay UPS express rate for all handguns you ship out when you could use USPS priority at a much cheaper rate? As far as I know even for a FFL UPS requires overnight shipping on handguns.

My company ships 75+ packages a day so we have a great rate from UPS and I don't have to go to the post office and fill out forms.

Considering it cost about $15 more I'd much rather eat that $15 than the time it takes to deal with the post office.

We ship maybe 1 or 2 handguns a week. That may change as the website is now live but at a minimum the post office takes at least 30-45 minutes.

It is their policy, which does not apply to those who ship enough and then it can be second day air. They could allow for any type of shipping since it is just a company policy.

It depends on the deal you are getting from UPS for major shippers but it seems hard to beat USPS on handgun shipping prices for most FFL's. Some of the smaller handguns would even fit in a small flat rate priority box which would be only like $5.95 with free tracking but I would of course add insurance on most handguns.

Anyone ever have USPS ask to physically verify a gun was unloaded before they would send it? According to their regs unless this has changed they have the right to do so but it seems rare to non existent for that to happen. Also for non FFL's if you read their regs they also don't want you to send long guns capable of being concealed on the person.

How they would interpret that I'm not sure but would probably include pistol grip only shotguns and maybe folding stock long guns.

No need for insurance if you have business insurance. Our insurance covers all firearms even while in transit.

If Killery Klinton had it her way The FFL dealers would be held liable for the gun they sell if it is involved in a crime! Imagine insurance rates if that lunatic gets her way!

I would like to ask her why the manufacturers of cars and alcohol, as well as the distributors and retails are not sued for the harm of drunk drivers since it is the same as with firearms, with the exception that the government approves ALL initial retail sales of firearms. So shouldn't it be the government which is sued? They approved the sale.
