    FFL Shipping

As an FFL..whats the best most cost efficient shipping method for handguns and rifles to other FFLs... I have been told USPS is pretty good... and as far as UPS and Fedex it seems the rates are quite costly...is there a commercial shipper rate I am unaware of??... any input would be great! Thanks!

Post office flat rate boxes if it fits. If not UPS ground for long guns.

good to know....whats the average rate you pay to ship a rifle with UPS...I know it varies but thought maybe you might have an average cost....Im thinking of selling more online and wanted to put a flat shipping cost...something I would be safe with...Thank you!!

If you're going to self insure then you can probably get away with $35 for most rifles.

USPS regional or flat rate boxes for handguns, FedEx ground for long guns. There are discounts available for FedEx.

If you don't fill out a copy of the 1508 for handguns when shipping USPS, you are violating the law. Personally, I think it is best to keep a copy, either a hardcopy or take a photo of the completed form (after stamped and signed by the post office).

We ship UPS only as I have a corporate account for my main business with a daily pickup.

Regional rate A and B boxes for pistols. Can be as low as $8. Charge client for insurance or use your business firearms insurance. My insurance covers my guns onsite, at guns shows, and in transit.
Rifles I pay $24 average sig required ups.
NFA goodies only go USPS from me.
