What a mess. I'm sorry OP. I have no idea how to fix this either. I have ever actually never seen this before.

I suppose with his license in limbo he can't transfer the firearm to another dealer? Although that won't help with your current dros issue.

I will admit I'm a little confused by this.

He can transfer from a dealer but not receive a transfer. I told him I'll be happy to RE DROS anyone while he is stuck in limbo for no charge but he is in Palmdale so it's a long drive for some of his customers

He has only been dealing with DES support and they can't fix this issue. I have him the contact information to the lady that helped us in licensing. Hopefully that helps.

Great guy and a disabled veteran. He is just stuck and no one is helping him.

Hmmm, Palmdale is a pretty long trip from me also.

I go out to that area every so often, but I am in Simi Valley, so I am not sure of how far away you are. In some respects it might be better to have the firearm shipped to another FFL, either local or further away, if they don't get it resolved soon.

It might also be an idea to have him contact his state representative and see if they can push the issue.

Thanks guys. I'm going to hold out for a bit to see how this plays out. I am not in a rush to receive firearm and don't mind paying another dros fee and waiting 10 days. FFL has already stated no transfer fee due because of the situation. I am a little worried that the CADOJ for some reason could confiscate all firearms in the FFL's possession as I don't trust them.

At this stage I'd have him contact the Calguns help line. They might be able to provide assistance given how this issue is still ongoing with no resolution on the horizon.

as he deems appropriate. At this stage, I'd consider it an emergency since he will continue to lose revenue in both transfer fees and potentially DROS fees as well. Also, the lost business opportunity this is going to be for him.

I agree, plus the fact that he can't do business right now means that people might avoid him in the future, so it is no small matter.

Update - FFL was shut down and had to deliver firearms to another local dealer. Hope he is able to get back on line quickly and without major consequences. Make sure you are fully complying with all laws and reg's because the DOJ is on a mission.

What laws and regs didn't he comply with? I thought this was a clerical error on DOJ side? Are you saying he was shut down for other reasons now and that is why his CFD was not renewed?

Ouch. I also would be interested in what they got him on.

His valid COE which expires late in the year is now showing invalid and expired. Waiting on more info.

I'm a little worried now. My COE was renewed and I received my updated copies last month. However, I haven't received my latest CFD paperwork.

I spoke with the FFL today, he has retained Jason Davis for help.

He has no idea, he was not cited and noone at the doj have answered him.
