How do you get these guys to stop coming to your house. We do not answer the door, yet every day, these guys come to the door and knock.

If you have recently moved to your location within the last year that might be the reason they keep showing up. Be friendly - they are harmless unless they convince you to turn over 10% of your income! Don't do that - you'll need it for hobbies like buying new rifles. Be an adult. Answer your door. Be polite, thank them for their concern for your soul. Tell them you have that matter already taken care of and ask them not to stop at your house anymore because it pisses off the gun nut in your basement.

or, you can just be nice to them, take their phone number, and when you need stuff moved (like a couch) call them up. they will come out and help you free of charge lol.Comment

Been here 13 years.
Have tried that in the past. It worked for a year, now the blood hounds are back.
Uhm, yeah. We tried that last year. They did quit stalking us for one year. I guess the Bishop retired or whatever Bishops do and now they have a new boss.
They have not listened in the past, they are not going to start listening now.
My wife grew up Mormon. She left the church 25 years ago. I strongly suspect that has something to do with it. For a while she was getting letters from the womens group until we started writing "Deceased - Return to sender" on the envelope. She has contacted the church/Bishop a dozen times and the little dudes just keep coming back. It is like ants!
A couple of years ago the actual Bishop came by the house and I went off on him... Even that made no difference. I need a restraining order against the church or something.
Truly... They are driving me crazy. I am considering rigging a motion detector on my improperly aimed sprinklers.NRA Life Member
