Which Order to Read the Bible?

Which order would you recommend the Bible in? Would the order change if suggesting to an adult or a child?

Then move to the beginning of the New Testament.

I'll start from New Testament then Old Testament.
For children, buy them Superbook dvds. It's a great tool to introduce them to Bible and will help them understand the Bible when they read the book that they've just watched.

Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Acts, Gospel of John, Letters of John...

That should give you a good foundation to start with.

It depends - I wouldn't recommend any particular reading plan until after I know more about the recipient. More so than age, the big question is this: are they following Christ? If so, for how long, and how spiritually mature? Or, are they not yet a follow of Christ at all?

The answers to these questions would effect the recommended order. Babies need milk only, but then comes the time for meat.
            Regarding the 2nd Amendment:
"...to disarm the people ― that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them." George Mason ("The Father of the Bill of Rights")

            Regarding Life and Death:
"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28

The BIG question: "What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?" Matthew 27:22b

I would recommend the New Testament first starting with the Gospel of John. Then go back to Matthew and read the rest of the New Testament in order.

If I needed hope and comfort, I'd read Psalms. If I was focused on gaining wisdom, I'd read Proverbs.

I would too start with the New Testament then the move to the OT. "New Believers Bibles" often don't even contain the OT. You'd hate to lose people because they're struggling with Leviticus.

I read it cover-to-cover several times. There is a schedule out there that has you read 3 chapters of the Old Testament in the morning, and 1 chapter of the New Testament in the evening. The chapters are short and this rarely takes more than half an hour in the morning, 10-15 minutes in the evening. Following this schedule one not only gets some Old and some New Testament daily, but over the course of a year's time, the entire Bible is read from cover to cover. I can't say it was always fun, and it required a bit of stick-to-it-iveness... but I did it several times and I'm glad now that I can make that statement and more glad that I have the background.

John then the other 3 Gospels. The rest of the New Testament in order except Revelations (Skip it). Then start with Genesis.

The first gospel I read was Mark.
It was interesting because I thought I was going to get a real nice lesson Roman history..

In the beginning - don't read Revelations first. After all you don't start with the last chapter of a novel.

Same idea, much easier to read.
