I know where I live lots of Churches have plenty of armed parishaners, but only the Mega Churches seem to have an armed security detail. The smaller ones don’t seem to have much of a planned and organized security detail and would benefit greatly by having someone organize those armed Church members.

You can contact Jimmy Graham at Able Shepherd for some tips. That’s what he does since he retired. He worked as a Navy Seal and GRS Officer and has always been a protector. Churches and Schools are his specialty.

Hire a company that specializes in assessing security issues for a church and trains its members for armed security situations. Getting tips and tricks off of a forum is like acquiring surgery instructions off of webMD,

Here in OC, the sheriffs dept will do assessments at no charge. I had them come out and do this with our safety team. We did a property walk-around and a review of our plan. There is also grant money for hardening your facility (gates, fencing, bollards, cameras and alarms.)

Make sure the volunteer security are actually trained, especially if they are armed. Lot of people have their heart in the right place but lack the skills to properly do the job.

This is a sticking point for many churches. Most insurance carriers will not approve of amateur armed security no mater how well trained. A church that approves of this kind of arrangement is taking on a serious risk. If you do it without the church approval, the risk falls on you.

I don't advertise that I carry in church and there are several likewise where I fellowship. BUT...I am in the southeast where its common, and yes I packed every time I visited any church while I was still in Cali. No issues, keep you mouth shut.

This is the key. If the church does not know you have it, there isn't anything they'll do and furthermore, they are not accountable for it. It's a win all the way around if something should happen.

Speaking of security, we just discovered that our tithe box near the main entrance has been getting robbed.

• At an elder's meeting last month, the pastor mentionted that tithing is way down.
  
• Wife and I were balancing our checkbook the other day and discovered three checks to our church totaling over $900 were never cashed.
  
• Spoke with other members on Sunday that have checks to the church that were never cashed.
  
• Spanish pastor's wife had her pocketbook lifted from her purse a few weeks ago after chruch, during a ladies luncheon.

It's pretty bad.

MXP does a free security workshop, they fly in, provide materials, etc. I found that he had some really, really good tips. Like as far as getting women involved, we (as guys) don't typically think about women being security people, but by virtue of the fact that they are females, they can tell a vibe about some people, and know some things to look for, far before guys might. Anyway, yeah, so MXP also hands out certificates and so on. It's his ministry, it was really, really good.

MR TPT, Positive confession is not a false gospel, and Mr Hagee does NOT teach salvation without Christian conversion. It doesn't matter where you get your info, these things you wrote are not true. But, helpeth thyself. Just a reading of Romans ch 10 first 10 verses helps.
