    1 Jn 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

        Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. Proverbs 17:9

                    1 Corinthians 13:1-10 ESV
                    If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. [2] And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. [3] If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. [4] Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant [5] or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; [6] it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. [7] Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. [8] Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. [9] For we know in part and we prophesy in part, [10] but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.

                    Posted in another thread but a fresh reminder for myself as well....

                      What scripture inspired you today?

                      ?And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.? Mark 6:34. I love this example of our Savior showing us how to serve.

                        Today's Psalmody in my prayer app: Psalm 107:23-32

                        23 Some went down to the sea in ships,
                        doing business on the great waters;

                        24 they saw the deeds of the Lord,
                        his wondrous works in the deep.

                        25 For he commanded and raised the stormy wind,
                        which lifted up the waves of the sea.

                        26 They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths;
                        their courage melted away in their evil plight;

                        27 they reeled and staggered like drunken men
                        and were at their wits? end.

                        28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
                        and he delivered them from their distress.

                        29 He made the storm be still,
                        and the waves of the sea were hushed.

                        30 Then they were glad that the waters were quiet,
                        and he brought them to their desired haven.

                        31 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
                        for his wondrous works to the children of man!

                        32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people,
                        and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

                              John 14

                              Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where thou art going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me. If you had known me, you would also have known my Father. And henceforth you do know him, and you have seen him." Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father and it is enough for us."
                              Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long a time with you, and you have not known me?"
