    Biblical End Times

So, I am barely knowledgeable on the subject of end time prophecies but it seems like some pieces are falling into place.
Russia is making a big play in the middle east, Syria uses "barrel-bombs" to save its good stuff for Israel, the Palestinian leadership has officially renounced their treaty with Israel. and of course, ISIS is running amok and Al Quaeda is resurgent in Afghanistan.
Tenuous connections at best but it is vaguely troubling.

The prophecies are there and they appear to be coming to fruition. Starting with Israel becoming a nation again and gathering all of the Jews back to Israel. I think you are safe until they rebuild the temple. However, there is talk of building the temple against the wailing wall but I think what will likelly happen is that the Iranians will lob in a missile and it will hit the dome of the rock destroying it. At that point, how do you argue with the Jewish people who did not destroy the dome but was actually Iran. Things would get hot and heavy after that.

For those who prep, Joseph was the first one to start saving for a rainy day. How often did David run into trouble even with the Lord on his side. Better to be prepared and able to handle the trouble that comes the way of innocents than to be unprepared and watch the slaughter. We need to stand up for those who cannot.

Keep your powder dry, your pantry full and water in the garage.
Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 82:4

The Dispensational view of the endtimes has many problems. Read this book called Amillenialism by Kim Riddlebarger. It's the correct view.

Dispensationalism is just good for writing more books for the public's endtimes obsessions.

What, you don't like dual track salvation, one for the nation of Israel and one for the rest of us?

It isn't about me or what I like or don't like. Read the book I mentioned; for me, I have to have valid answers to those problems mentioned in the book, that's why I believe Amillenialism to be the Biblical view.

Too much stupidity in this thread. If you believe in Christ then your answers are in the Bible both old and new testament. Read it, understand it, look at the historical day it was written in and the customs of the time and it clears up many misconceptions. Don't just read revelation and expect that to be it. There are many books that point to end times and add clarification. As for Amillenialism, read the bible first then make your determination.

I just see this thread as another reason for me to buy another gun and stock up on more ammo. Good deal!

This.^^^^ And, Revelation 13:10 (ASV) If any man [is] for captivity, into captivity he goeth: if any man shall kill with the sword, with the sword must he be killed. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

No amount of prepping is going to help you.

If you've never seen it there is a very interesting video out there called Isaiah 9:10 Judgement.

People have been sincerely warning of The End for 2000 years. Someday, they will be right, but we will not know what that day is until it comes.

Anybody who says differently is risking false prophecy.

Well, whether this is a religious discussion or a prepping discussion. my point is we appear to be in that Chinese curse of living in "interesting times".
It looks to me like there will be a big shooting war involving Israel and with Russia there in Syria I fear that we will get dragged into a spiraling escalation. Given the current feckless leadership we have, I believe that will be disastrous for the USA. The broad biblical parallels I see from a lens of my vague knowledge of the bible.
I am certain the more biblically inclined can and will point out the the flaws in my reasoning as will the atheists but I don't know that either can refute the fact that things are escalating dramatically these days.

You may be right. However, don't worry about it. Sooner or later(I hope sooner) it is going to happen. Live your life to glorify God and you will persevere to the end. That doesn't mean that you'll survive that holocaust. It just means you will not deny God when that time comes.

I think these places have been up sheets creek since the bible was under construction. Palestine, Mesopotamia, Egypt and Damascus are like the Compton, Watts and South Central of the world.

Like ole Jimmy Morrison quoted "the futures uncertain and the end is always near". It's true, the end is always near, according to the texts, it's been nearing for over 2000 years.
