if someone has faith that there is a god, a creator, or whatever they want to call it, then that's fine. everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.
personally i believe that as we advance scientifically, it will be proven that our current universe was created/evolved from some other form of universe vs. being created by an eternal, all powerful being.
truth be told, in our lifetimes we will never know exactly how the universe came to be. even if we figure out how our current universe was formed, that will result in more questions like how the thing that formed the universe was formed. one could always say that an "eternal being" did it, but "science" would be just as fair, and more probable, of an answer
