    SHOT show

Anyone going to the SHOT show in Las Vegas this month?

I will be there for 4 days. Hope I can find something interesting. But, these days, almost everything revolves around the black rifle and tactical gear.

Nevertheless, I will probably enjoy that time at the Show.

I'd love to go but being recently retired, not sure how I could get in...
Looking to acquire a Marlin 336 Texan. Hit me up if you are contemplating getting rid of one.

I think you can still get in, although you may have to pay $175, instead of $35 as a LE buyer.

And make sure to bring some extra cash.

I got some great deals on handheld lights from one of the LE rooms there.
You think you know, but you have no idea.

I bought some Blackhawk tactical clothing and equipment on Friday sale at about 50% off before. Good deal.

It isn't open to the public.

Attendance at the SHOT Show is RESTRICTED to the shooting, hunting and outdoor trade; and commercial buyers and sellers of military, law enforcement, and tactical products and services ONLY. The show is not open to the public and NO one under age 16 shall be admitted (including infants).

Admission to the show requires government-issued photo identification plus documentation demonstrating direct, professional affiliation to the trade. Show exhibitors and media are subject to different credentialing requirements.

Aw I see, so being law enforcement personnel isn't enough by itself. I don't know why I was under that impression. Thank you for the info.

I thought it was too. A few months ago, the SHOT Show website had a detailed list of who is eligible to attend and who is not. I can't find it now. If you really want to attend, try to sign up and see if they will allow you to.

the attendee rules state the following:
Law enforcement and military purchasing personnel must furnish a written statement from their commanding officer or other superior in their chain of command verifying purchasing authority.

doesn't look like mere LEO status is enough anymore.
