The once Noble Profession has been demeaned/destroyed by the Elected Social Engineers who feel its their duty is to force American society into their idea of Utopia.

I blame the Socialists and their supporters that have created a witches brew of conflicting laws that become the job of Law Enforcement to sort out.

The elected Lawmakers and Jurists are to blame, but the public wrath will be on Once Noble Profession because they are the errand boys of the Socialists, this has happened throughout all recorded history.

I feel your frustration, it is not the dream I grew up with.

I'm just astonished by the comments in this thread, I rarely chime in on controversial topics but this one got to me.

My family and I are thankful for the LEOs that serve our community. We're grateful that you are there to run toward the danger while the rest of us are running away. Our children respect and admire you, and they're proud when they get to meet and talk with you at school functions and local events. They know to find you if they're lost, to call you if they need help. Total strangers to them yet the uniform and badge bring their immediate trust, who else can say that of the job they do?

Thank you for the job you all do, and thank you all for putting the uniform back on tomorrow and caring some more! The four of us appreciate it if many others do not.

Not a cop, but sums up the problems I think cops face. Although if I'm totally forthcoming, I've also held and still hold some negative opinions and thoughts about cops (granted this is amongst many other professions that I think endure hardship) bc as far as I can tell, some ugly and inconvenient truths are still truths.

At the end of the day though, I'm still generally grateful that there are lots of good cops out there who do a good job and I do think a lot of it goes unrewarded. Especially with the risk as high as it is. Not to mention the toll similar jobs often have on ones personal life and health, mental and physical.

But who is subject to more felonious assaults? There is a big difference between an accident and an injury or death being intentionally caused by another. Risk is not synonymous with deaths, although those who try to cheapen the job done by LE try to portray it as such.
