I'd like to see the simulation room opened to the public. This way they will better understand split second decision making. There is a very high memberhip of anti police members on this site, that have no idea of the job.

Whatever you do, don't bring them around during LEO only hours.Comment

The simulation room is open to the public and members. All services are available to the public and members. Members receive additional benefits to the services provided.
We need to generate enough interest before establish LE hours or LE specific rooms.
The simulation room may be reserved in advanced as well as the range.
Thank you and be safe.Sacramento Gun Club

Maybe I missed it on your website, how much is it to use the simulator room? Been thinking about maybe taking some folks to one..Stay classy, CGF and Calguns.Originally posted by bwiese[BTW, I have no problem seeing DEA Agents and drug cops hanging from ropes, but that's a separate political issue.]Comment

Hi CBR, current sim room rates can be found here:
If you have a group function or request, please visit or call ahead and speak to the Rangemaster or Manager. We need feedback from the LE community in order to evolve with your dynamic needs.
Thanks and see you soon.Last edited by Sacramento Gun Club; 12-22-2014, 9:58 AM.Sacramento Gun Club

Congratulations on the new business, its nice to see people who consider feedback from potential customers. I would consider feed back from all persons who enjoy firearms and this site is a good source. In my opinion there are far more non LEO that train in firearms or shoot regularly at public ranges.
I stopped going to one of my local ranges because of comments made by the owner and an instructor to a news paper reporter regarding a high profile shooting death a couple years ago. They're certainly entitled to their own opinions, but should've kept them out of the media. As a few have mentioned customer service is huge. I'm a POST certified firearms instructor and often times would take friends or family to the range woth me to teach them basic fundamentals. I've been told at the range I used to go to that I could not train persons at their range because they thought I was taking away from their business. I have never charged anyone, I would like to see all persons interested in firearms to be comfortable and proficient with them. Too bad for them they lost my business anyway and I would never recomend them to anyone I know.
The other thing that bothered me was they would only let me shoot their ammo through their guns. I have plenty of my own, but it came with the membership and it was a good selection. I get it liability and all, but i showed them the ammunition I was using was good factory ammo. They wanted to charge me twice as much for their cheap brands. I was also told that I couldn't pick up my own brass, I had to leave it. I can't speak for all LEO's, but I'm sure they would agree with me when I say we don't except to be treated better than non-LEO. Treat all people the same with good customer service and you'll do fine.Last edited by jdubs71; 12-22-2014, 11:26 AM."Common sense is not so common"Comment

Thank you for the feedback and suggestions, Sir. We are seeking feedback from all members. This happens to be the LE specific thread.
We have the same mission as you for educating and teaching safe and proper firearms fundamentals to everyone regardless of their experience level. We would not restrict you from helping your guests. We encourage it. Just advise the Rangemaster or RSO on staff of your plans when you arrive.
We require that you use our ammo when renting our guns as it is a liability issue. If a malfunction were to occur, it would be best to eliminate the possibility of outside ammo being the cause and clearing our members of that specific liability. I hope that you understand the policy.
Thank you and stay safe.Sacramento Gun Club

If you are going to offer a discount to cops, I think offering a discount to anyone with a CCW or others who carry a gun on the job would be good. Those who carry a gun should practice as much as feasible. Missing on the range isn't a big deal. Missing on the street can be very bad.
Just one LEO's opinion.Strike Hold!

We are looking into defining the discounts further, however at this time the discount only applies to Military and LE.Sacramento Gun Club

And specific lanes or an area where only Leo's & CCW holders can train for holster work and rapid fire away from the general public would be nice like Sac Valley has.If you are going to offer a discount to cops, I think offering a discount to anyone with a CCW or others who carry a gun on the job would be good. As an LEO and competitve shooter, I would like to see indoor action pistol matches offered. Have you thought about an IDPA match or PPC match one night a week? I am sure you can get 30-40 people to a match. Most would be CCW's holders
and not cops though. This is unfortunate because competition shooting 1. puts the shooter under stress, 2. enhances their gun handling skills, 3. exposes the shooter to a multitude of scenarios and shooting positions.Last edited by John M; 01-17-2015, 1:26 PM.Comment

I've seen indoor ranges do small PPC matches that have some fun courses of fire. I think it's a good way to bring around some new folks who are recreational lane shooters but don't do much else.
The downside to this is that it's usually a strain on staff to run something like this to the public if a lot of people show up.Comment

Hello, our services list is below:
Sacramento Gun Club Membership and Services List
We can only consider LEO hours when we have enough LEO's arriving at a specific and consistent time slot. That would be difficult considering how dynamic your schedules are and your individual preferences.
I would recommend that you gather a group and reserve and entire bay to yourselves.
Thank you.Sacramento Gun Club
