speaking of rain, any LEO use Rain-X?

I can get by if just doing normal tunnel vision commuting or around town to known spots, but if trying to eyeball stuff from a car in rain this stuff really makes a diff.

Really helps the side/rear windows too, although marketed mostly for front.

It can be applied in the pouring rain, like when my wipers quit and ducked into 7/11.

Lots of folks are really amazed by this stuff at first, like when you first used a teflon pan. If I was running a car wash this is what I'd use to amaze customers.

I use it....both on my own car and patrol car. Good stuff

Not a Leo, but I've been using Rainx for more than 20 years.

Apply to all windows and lenses. Front, rear headlights, marker lights, spotlights, etc. it keeps the dirt buildup down. Really helps in the snow areas as well.

One downside is the coating does get moved around by the front wipers, and will eventually build up at the edges of the wiper travel. Clean and reapply when this occurs.

Yep, love the stuff. It's like astroglide for the windshield.

Ditto here. I only use my wipers below >30 mph. Anything remotely freeway speed, and just motion alone moves the water off my windshield.

Sorry not LEO here. Don't ban me

Try using a potato. It works similar to RainX but, not quite as good.

It's amazing stuff for sure. One caution: if you live in or will be traveling to an area where temps drop below freezing, you can find your wiper blades frozen to the windshield under a mound of ice because the Rain-X causes rain droplets to run down to the wipers when parked. At the right temperature, the buildup can be pretty dramatic and tough to clear.
