A BETTER flashlight for law enforcement?

I like those Terla Lux upgrades, but like they might not be as bright as some if the recent factory models.Comment

I see yours has the better on/off switch. I have one of the very early models and it still works, but doesn't have the LED light. IIRC, they first came out in 1977 while I was working the jail. I recall telling my buddies they were crazy to spend $75 for a flashlight. I also recall buying one the next year for $80.:face palm:
I went thru 3 or 4 switches during my career and it was a known problem. That is why they went to a push button from the slide switch. I don't know what they use now, but mine still works fine 36yrs. later. I will admit much of the black finish is gone from knocking down the remains of windows broken in a 459, but it still works and I'll be taking it to the Zombie shoot again as I have every time. That says a lot about the quality of a Streamlight.Comment

I carry a customized 2-D Mag light. 1000 lumens, three brightness settings, rechargeable batteries. It's a bit smaller than the SL-20 but still heavy enough to be a great impact weapon.Comment

Maybe I wasn't clear in my first reply to your OP, I emailed fnginnovations to ask them some product development questions. That day, I noticed that they had misspelled their company name in the contact email they provided on their website (I addressed my email to both the misspelled address as well as what I figured would be the correct address and sure enough, the misspelled address was kicked back). I have not yet received a reply and, at this point, don't really care anymore...
Btw, did you go back later (on the 17th) and add a question mark to the title of this thread? I'm pretty sure you didn't have one there originally...Comment
