    Bail Out Bag on Duty

Anyone have a Bail Out Bag (B.O.B.) accessible when on duty?
    What is your B.O.B. setup?
    Pics?

I have an active shooter kit. Its scary and black. Probably proof of my militerization. Should have gone with a gentle, natural color.

All of the above, PLUS...... a small NIOSH respirator. During the Northridge earthquake when some freeways crashed, the concrete dust that was created wrecked havoc on one's lungs. Ditto for NY city with the collapse of the buildings. Using a traditional "gas-mask" for this purpose will be too hot and foggy for long-term use, during a "dust/particle" cloud that looms over the rubble. Any bit of protection from debris dust is a good thing.

My BOB is my active shooter vest. It's a carrier with rifle plates, a few mags for the AR and pistol and trauma kit. My old BOB (LA Police Gear) is now used for extra first aid gear, batteries, cuffs and ammo. Stuff that I may need but probably not immediately. I can grab the bag if it's a med related call as opposed to the vest.

Don't forget to include water. A couple of bottles can make a big difference on a hot day when working a fixed location to lock down an area.

I carry this pack, about 120 rounds of 556, quick clot and a couple tourniquets. Its only for a serious incident. No extra cuffs, water, batteries and other random stuff people place in these types of bags. I carry that stuff in my main patrol bag or in my backpack. I also carry a shotgun bandoleer full of buck and slugs.

Many people build these packs and fill them with all sorts of gear they might possibly need. Who wants to deploy a 30lb bag full of random crap, food and water to a hot call? Your a cop, go to said scene; if its hot secure it, if its over pull out your camera and paper and write stuff down, talk to people and take pictures if needed. You dont need to put food and water in a bail out bag. Keep that stuff in your patrol vehicle.

My immediate response BOB is my plate carrier with IFAK, extra pistol and AR mags, Flashlight and knife. I've also got a Go Bag I take everywhere with me that has the same items, but also has food, water, sunscreen, extra pistol, small tools.

I need to swap out my bag for a plate carrier.... It simply makes more sense. I don't think I have anything different than those that have already posted except for some lock picking gear (I can't breach every door with ol' Danner!)

One thing to note, practice donning the plate carrier starting from a seated driving position and time yourself. I was very surprised at the time it took to grab my PC and helmet from the trunk, Don both and run to a position 30 yards away the first time I did it.
