In case anyone wants a Springfield 1911-A1 LEO only pistol...

Bullseye Sport in Riverside just got a new one in today and they put it on the shelf. I am not going to come in here and announce everytime that I see a nice firearm there but they have several LEO only handguns and this one stands out even more then the beretta nano. It is the Range Officer I think, wooden grips, mainly blued or parkerized with a SS barrel bushing. It has no rail, but it is new. I thought I saw it going for $800+ or $8xx, maybe $819, I dunno. I know that I can not buy it currently so I did not bother looking at the price too closely.

I was hoping that it would be an operator but it aint. So if anyone is looking for one, you have a chance to go get it.

Yep, that a Range Officer. Great gun, its the budget version of the Trophy Match. Put a FO front sight and mag well on it and you are ready to play in USPSA Single Stack or IDPA CDP.

I bought one from the Proforce last week. Picking it up this Friday. Got it at a pretty decent price.

I had one briefly, and later traded it straight up for a mint M1 Garand.

I thought I would really like it, but as it turns out I have no use for adjustable target sights on a 1911. The blacked out front and rear sights are for target shooting only. It would be nearly impossible to pick up a sight picture in low light.

It is otherwise a great 1911. USA not Brazil frame and it dispenses with the dumb FLGR that everyone hates.

The gun is designed for comp/target use, hence the need for target sights. It was never meant for combat work. Sorta like a colt gold cup.

Not everyone hates the FLGR. ;-)
