There is another great video... I think from Alaska where a officer uses his patrol car to take out a suspect who had just crashed his vehicle, and was using it for cover to shoot at approaching officers...
I no can find....

I recently had active shooter training and this very scenario was brought up. And just to add to the correct responses from my other brothers, yes. Justifiable homicide.
What I thought was also great is that he kept the car from getting squirrelly in the rain. I did hear the tires lose traction but under pressure and in that situation, I think he did an outstanding job in eliminating the threat.VETERANLEOComment

I'm not a LEO, but it seems like it would be the way to go, rather than get out of your car and expose yourselfOriginally posted by thrillhouse700I have to wait until all the info is in before I make a statement. Obviously the family dogs had it coming.... other than that, waiting on more info.Comment

There was actually a somewhat similar scenario used by oral boards several years ago.
You are on patrol, driving down the street and see a suspect a couple hundred feet ahead of you lighting a Molotov Cocktail and getting ready to throw it into a crowd of people. What do you do?
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groupsComment
