Agreed, but then it has to be purchased and owned by the dept. I'm ok with that, but finding $$$ right now to supply several motors is near impossible. I'm not opposed to using a complete sbr, I just don't see an extra $10k in my budget any time soon.

Sorry not leo but I have a mk18 clone pistol and had it registered as an AW when I was still active mil. Very very good gun if you can have the aw features and have ur dept sign off on it. With the law folder adapter it adds extra length making it easy to shoulder like a collapsed stock. Add a foam tube cover and you'll be making precision shots 75 yards or less. Make sure u get a 1 in 7 barrel with at least 10.5 in length to maximize 5.56 rnd lethality. 7.5 in is too short for practicality and will not cause a 5.56 to fragment upon penetration. Look at the hornady tap rounds if your department let's you use your own ammo. Also in you case (shoving a at pistol into a side saddle) I'd recommend a simple 1 point bungeesling for retention so its quick to slip on and doesn't take up too much space. Good luck

Woops also meant to add all the bonded ammo like the federal and gold dot .223. Good for going through barriers (windshield and doors) while still having enough energy to put a baddie down.
