I think it's sad that this conversation has to even come up. The split second you leave this place and go to the United States, no one gives a crap as its in a case!

My 2 cents. In my case I have it hard that you.

When I take my rifle to the range I ride down the highway with it strapped. Sometimes to my back. Sometimes to the bike. Either way it's plainly obvious to most who look at for more than a few seconds that I have a rifle in a lockable nice drag case with straps tooling the peninsula.

The case is locked. But I go the extra step and put a lock through the receiver as well. While the exposed case might cause a few nervous looks no one will be able to fault me for having a cavalier attitude about the rifle being ready to use should I go down and the rifle somehow is ripped from the bag.

Sadly, I have to say make an effort to comply with this state's restrictive (and insane) laws and I am sure you'll b e fine in most of your average situations. But keep aware of your local attitudes and events as well.

I'm not going to see anything in your car below the windows, so your question is not very realistic. Just store your firearm legally and you have no worries.

                  You're just bragging.......

Stupid is, is what Stupid does. Call your lawyer, then brag about that $$. Guessing by the garage refinement... you'll skip the lawyer.
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..

This as as low as it'll go in the front seat:

Well, I think that the most obvious problem is that your passenger doesn't have its seatbelt fastened. Hard acceleration/braking/cornering might cause your passenger to become ejected from the vehicle.

Secondly, go buy a simple combination lock and secure the case:

And your lighting isn't very flattering either... just funning.

I know high-end garages, add a couple of four-posters racked with $2mil worth of cars -- and not a single tool box in sight, now you have some means.

A kit Cobra can be emission, SMOG exempt... worth its weight.

If that's your only car then you're doing it wrong. I have a "toy" as well (nsx) but I also own a jeep and a Honda fit for 99% of the other days.
