I was attacked by a ninja last week. He smacked me and I told him if he tried it again, I was going to hurt him. Then he tried it again and I knocked him down with a punch to the mouth.

He wasn't a ninja then. You wouldn't have known he was there until the ninja star hit you.

He used up all the ninja stars and knives during his practice warm up session.

I'm still waiting to take that battery report from someone. It's gonna happen one day. I just know it.

With the new numbering and all, is having a concealed dirk/dagger in the boot also illegal for on-duty use?

I have always shook my head on this one.....

The blade is a felony. The loaded gun in the waistband is a misdemeanor.... go figure.

No, LEO's are exempt from concealed dirk/dagger. Department policy may say something different...

And I agree with you Unit74, another set of codes that don't quite make sense.

I've always felt that these codes had to have come from the 80's. All those Kung fu movies and books/movies like the Outsiders coming out and some senator or rep said, "Oh my god! We have to stop these terrible weapons from reaching our youth immediately!"

                        Ok, so... on duty =

                        1. No switchblade.

                        2. Yes dirk/dagger concealed in boot.

                        Right?!

If your departments like mine, probably a no fixed blade policy. Lol

                              Switchblades and LEOs

PC Section 653k covers switchblades and there is no exemption for LE.

Penal Code section 653k no longer exists.

Please refer to section 21510 for the regulation of switchblade knifes.

You are quite correct that there is no exemption for LE.

If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.
