It is a very good deal, I used it when the kids were younger.

I had the chance to try the chicken dinner once last year. The biscuits and chicken are great. I highly recommend it, well worth the wait

Notorious I agree with 90% minus Universal Studios. I don't like the fact I have to either leave my gun in the vehicle or bench it at the sheriff station. Let's not kid our selves if an individual decides not to follow the parks "no guns allow" policy who's going to know until it's too late. That park attracts a lot of questionable characters. Now who's going to stop the bad guy with the gun before people gets hurt, the underpaid security guard?
I don't go to Six Flags or county fairs just to avoid people I may had dealt in the pass.

Never knew they had the policy and their "security" never searched me or asked me... and I never volunteered the information. The last 3 times I went to Universal, you bet I was armed the whole time.

Yes. Yes. And hell yes!

And if you are not big eaters, one whole chicken dinner can feed two people. Also make sure you buy a bag of pancake mix and a bag of biscuit mix so you can replicate the magic at home.

Started going to KBF in the early 1950’s. You may remember back then it was really western without the current activities of the theme park of today. During that period, Walter Knott, Roy Rogers, even Sheriff John all promoted the sheriff of the old west and how good guys were the side to be on. Sheriff John used to highlight the current LA County Sheriff and teach the kids to be stand up citizens. The tradition lives on. Knott’s and Calico always made sure to have a rustic old jail to take a look at. I think it found it’s beginnings in the frontier days when moral fiber in a community meant survival.

Most of us remeber the chinken dinners, the berry pie, and that old duffer gold miner that would help you pan up some gold.

We had a better time at KBF 2 weeks ago when the mil appreciation started. Me, the Wife, 2 kids, Sister in law, and niece cost me a whopping $74 for park entrance. Better time, once inside I didn't feel the prices where as high as Disneyland. We will be returning there rather than Disney

Search consist of opening your bag if you have one, I didn't mean a pad down. I try to honor private business policies but I may reconsider.

I don't see why not, just show your official ID at the ticket booth. That's how it was when I used to go about 8-10 years ago.

As for feds, they didn't say which LE, just LE and fire in general, so I would think it's okay.

I remember paying $5 or $10 for our guess when we started going, still better than the degenerate Disneyland.
Almost forgot your off duty doesn't have to be relinquished/post in a locker or left in the vehicle.

....Your heater doesnt have to be relinquished in the vehicle at Disneyland either. "Don't ask, don't tell" applys to straps at the happiest place on earth.
