Fire and Police Recognition Days
Starting Thanksgiving Day and running through January 31, 2013, Knott's will honor all those who protect life and property with Fire and Police Recognition Days. FREE admission to the park will be offered to all active fire and police personnel and one guest. November 22 - January 6 up to six additional tickets can be purchased for only $25 each. January 7- January 31, 2013, up to six additional tickets can be purchased for only $19 each.

Yup, for like the past 20 something years too. Although it used to be a better deal. They'd allow I recall up to six guests to enter for free. Then they changed it to where the additional guests got in at a much lower rate (still a great deal). However now, it's just a great thing of Knott's that they allow only two in for free. With the economy in the toilet, Knott's is still very generous to public safety employees.

Back in the day it was you and up to six guests for free. Then they changed it to you and one guest for free and everyone else, up to six, was like nineteen bucks per person, which is way cheaper than even the children's ticket.

I remember paying $5 or $10 for our guess when we started going, still better than the degenerate Disneyland.
Almost forgot your off duty doesn't have to be relinquished/post in a locker or left in the vehicle.

The QC and aesthetics at Knotts might have slipped a bit over the years, but this promotion is still an awesome gift and hugely appreciated by me. Between myself and my Brolo El Cunado we will be able to get the whole family in and have a blast!

Notorious I agree with 90% minus Universal Studios. I don't like the fact I have to either leave my gun in the vehicle or bench it at the sheriff station. Let's not kid our selves if an individual decides not to follow the parks "no guns allow" policy who's going to know until it's too late. That park attracts a lot of questionable characters. Now who's going to stop the bad guy with the gun before people gets hurt, the underpaid security guard?
I don't go to Six Flags or county fairs just to avoid people I may had dealt in the pass.
