    Police Tattoos

    Hello CG LEOs,

Something ive been curious about for awhile is opinion on officers getting "cop tattoos" in the same way mil. personnel do. When I was in the academy I was in the minority who didnt have any tattoos, and a few times I was told by a few classmates that when they got picked up they wanted to get ones. I know departments have their own policies on showing, but from those of you in the profession are these type of tattoos considered taboo, or becoming more mainstream? Thanks for your help, stay safe out there, and watch your six.

I don't see more "Cop tattoo" styles as I do just more tattoos in general.

Why would you want anything permanently tattooed on you body that may indicate that you are a cop? Am I missing something here with "cop tattoos".
Last thing I needed working undercover, or even while off duty, is some permanent marking that screamed police. Officer safety wise, not a good idea.

Hey I completely agree with you, in fact that was something that came to my mind as well. Like I said I was just asking out of sheer curiousity.

If anything, I would tattoo something that screams, "NOT A COP" but that's just me.

I would recommend the tattoo tear drop as well as spider webs on the elbows.

You forgot the double lightning bolts and "88" along with the code word that we all know, "MS-13".

I'll buck the trend here... I like ink. I have a few. Nothing that shows in uniform however and absolutely nothing that would identify me as a LEO. Just plain old tattooed whiskey tango Joe Citizen.
