Dear LEO members,

My BI from Riverside County Sheriff's Department just called me and told me I will be attending their academy this September. I will be heading out to eastern desert area. I have never been there, but I cant wait to start my new life and new career.

Thanks everyone for all your help and your time. AHHH!!!!!!! I am so excited right now!!!!!!!

I am planning to head down to Galls to buy some boots for the academy.

I'd just make sure what footwear is authorized for cadets. We were not allowed to wear boots in the academy. Low quarter shineable black shoes only. Boots were a 'right of passage' that had to be earned.

PS It pleases me to no end to see military guys hired into the LE field. The ability to handle stress and discipline will be much better for you than your average civilian softy.
