My BI from Riverside County Sheriff's Department just called me and told me I will be attending their academy this September. I will be heading out to eastern desert area. I have never been there, but I cant wait to start my new life and new career.

Thanks everyone for all your help and your time. AHHH!!!!!!! I am so excited right now!!!!!!!

I am planning to head down to Galls to buy some boots for the academy.

I'm not a sir, trainee, I work for a living (lol) Okay, I admit that I have been stuck behind a desk for the past three year, but I should be back in the field when my overseas tour is completed. It has been a great learning experience, but I miss "running and gunning."

BoJack, good luck with the academy and keep a level head. Keep your head down and don't stand out where the TO's jump all over your sh*t. Study hard, make friends, and whatever you do in the academy will follow you to the field. It sounds like you are going towards Palm Desert area, so you should be able to afford a halfway decent place to live.
