I've got a size 17 shoe, and have never in my life found socks that fit. You'll live. A little uncomfortableness, in return for a career, doesn't sound so bad.

im not a cop so maybe im missing something but i never understood the extreme uniformity required of cops/military. yes its needed to a degree but after a certain point i dont see why, especially if it gets in the way of someone doing their job right...

...w/ 11 years active duty, you should already be used to these type of uniformity rules.

My suggestion = Buy white socks.

Upon graduation, you get to fill out some critique forms. Don't forget to state your sock complaint.

Off topic...but did you really expect to get treated differently from the other students because of your background?

If you are in an academy, you are a boot, regardless of your prior experience. You should know better.

Suck it up and deal with it. Asking who to complain to is not going to help you graduate. Interesting that you had to mention your educational background. Is that a coded message that the rules should not apply to you because you are so smart/qualified? Go buy your own socks.

Beg and borrow some extras from your fellow class mates until you can buy your own.

Or call your Mamma and whine to her.... Maybe she could send you a care package with the needed socks.....

I have tailored uniforms that I brought with me as well but we are only allowed to use the ones the facility issues...

Putting up with BS is a talent you will need in a LE career. Start now, adapt, or become extinct.

It's why they call it UNIFORM. It's not that hard to roll with it. You have a job. Be grateful.
