A similar bill died in the Senate in the previous congress. It' currently sitting in the Senate Judiciary committee. It looks like it will die again in the Senate. One big thing it will do for CA LEOs is it will make us exempt from school zone laws. Currently in CA we are exempt from state school zone laws but could still be arrested under federal school zone laws. It would also allow us to conceal carry in National Parks, Post Offices and some other currently restricted locations. For more detailed information you can read the attachment. It is estimated that there are around one million active and retired LEOs in the USA as well as state and nation wide organizations such as PORAC. They seem to be doing very little to try and get all those LEOs to contact their representatives in the House and Senate regarding this important to all LEOs piece of legislation. Do not accept any of the information in the attachment as legal advise and do your own research before accepting any of that information as factual.

I believe you can carry in National Parks except in the buildings which are posted.
