I passed my polygraph last week and I have been told I will be having my medical and psych next week. I think I am almost done with my process right now.

Wish me luck guys.... I have been trying to become a LEO ever since 2010 now and finally I think I am almost done now. I am so excited right now.

Any advice on psych will be very appreciated.. I have never done psych before.

Just relax is the best answer I can give. The psychologist will attempt to get into your head but if you are calm and relaxed, you should be fine. Good luck with RSO Academy.

Oh yeah, downing a Red Bull or a Monster to get amped up is going to help a lot....

Psychs can and do vary in length. I've spent six hours on one and two on another. Depends a lot on what tests are given and what the psychologist has been directed to focus on.

As above.... don't overthink, don't consciously try to make your answers consistent on the assessment tests, relax and answer the psychologist's questions honestly.

Search for some past threads about psyches. Be careful to not let them get in your head. The psyche test is a lot of phooey disguised in psuedo-science. After you check the boxes on 1,100+ multiple choice answers, you are grilled about if you ever fantasized about having sex with your mom's pet goat while you are hunting for wabbits in the green pastures of Antarctica... (WTF?)

Just relax and be yourself. Remember it's all a test and don't let the quack get to you if they are trying to trip you up.

I had great psyche interviews where they were genuinely trying to just find out about you and have a conversation and I have had terrible ones where they came at me like it was an interrogation.

My last one I was in wiTh the doc about 45 min. The bubble sheet tests are what suck. Just be cool and don't get all worked up over it. Confidence not arrogance and be decisive. Don't flip flop on questions or let him talk you out of your answer unless you are clearly wrong.
