I wish I could remember what company made mine. They came and custom molded them. Very comfy.

Oh and its the listen only.

      This is what I run.

Tactical Ear Gadgets Hawk Lapel Microphone is a favorite amongst law enforcement professionals. The microphone with push-to-talk button is sensitive to a whisper.

Everything is hidden under my uniform with the exception of the mic. Reception is great with this piece. I have an issue with my light bar causing radio disturbance so sometimes on T stops I just use my handheld.

I use a PCL setup. It is comfortable and has the speaker right next to the earpiece so there is no loss of clarity (unlike the lapel speaker models with the hollow coil that wears out or gets condensation.) It has been working like a champ for 5 years now. Get some extra earpieces.

The only gripe I have is that you really have to be careful where you place the lapel mike unless you want the whole department to hear you debating the merits of your supervisors during chow. Ask me how I know.

Sorry, I'm all out of empathy... but I have plenty of apathy left.

Awesome thread, keep the recommendations coming.

I have to purchase a new earpiece, my old one has developed so much condensation in it, it sounds like dispatch is under water - Do you know how hard it is to understand a female who is distracted by the twinkie in hand, updating her status on facebook, and sending an MDC message to the CSO for her lunch order... VERY DIFFICULT !!!!

I can say this because I'm engaged to a dispatcher who doesn't check these forums

I run all all Moto stuff. I use a shoulder mic w. an acoustic tube on my weak side.

I have a FOX listen only attached to my shirt mike. I had an issue with the FOX and I got a call about 20 min after I emailed them notifying me that they were going to send a new unit out for free. That alone is worth a little more money.
