    ? For current LASDeputies.

I don't know if this is normal but I had my first meet with my BI today and it lasted for about 3hrs excluding the paper work portion. He advised me that depending on how I awnsered my questions it will determine if I will take a poly or not. I was 110% honest with everything with him and at the end he was saying I'm not going to make it and my bankruptcy was too new and a 700 credit score was horrible and so on and so on. Any ideas? He also advised me to let my packet sit for a year and I told him to process it.

No poly was set at the end on the interview.

Hard to say - we don't have your application and/or test results in front of us... I don't know how they do it now - do they start the background process and then meet with you or do they meet with you first before doing anything?

They meet first, then I hear the poly gets set and the field investigation process. I left the meeting kinda stumped. I'm almost 33 in April and the BI was saying that my immature actions at age 13-14 yrs of age is going to ruin my chances as well.

700 credit is actually above average these days....

Unfortunately, a BK is a turn-down criteria for many employers....It is unfortunate, given the state of the economy...Keep trying though!

I had flawless credit from 18-29 yrs of age and my divorce messed up my credit. I explained that to him and he wasn't having it from the impression I received. The score of 700 was in october and since I have a paid off 11k motorcycle loan. So I'm sure it's near mid 700's

hes trying to get into your head and make you ask questions that make you sound unsure of yourself. give him articulable reasons why you are a good canadate.

He told me he has twenty apps with master degrees and why should he hire me with a past and not them with no past, I told him my life exp will Benefit me and I know how to deal with people of different ethnic groups as well as treating everyone with fairness disregarding if they are basically gang members or not. I know how to communicate with others.

It's like no matter what I said to defend my self in a calm manner he came back with foul language and kept attacking me. I just kept smiling and giving him my positive return awnsers to every negative he said

as someone thats gone through backgrounds a few times, this is normalish. just keep your head up and stay positive. your acting just how he wants you to act.... stressed and unsure.
