    Rule of thumb: The bigger the department, the longer it will take, Sheriff's especially. They're short staffed and trying to fill a large number of holes. Waiting another month wouldn't be out of the question. I would touch base though through an email to your BI, or a polite voicemail stating you're touching base and asking if they have any further questions. Do not ask what the holdup is.
