Recommend me a good first responder tool

So I had this $30 one from Smith and Wesson that was cool until it broke. I need it to be similar to this one, just not a cheap piece of junk. Under $100 is a plus, but not required.

I know it's a little expensive, but Leatherman make outstand products. The MUT and some of their folding knives make excellent first responder tools. Unless you want to go with a simple folder.

I'm a big Rick Hinderer fan... although I'm not a huge fan of Gerber, this is one of his designs for first responders (I think he was an EMT/fire fighter as well as entrepreneur)

I was going to recomend you the Smith & Wesson border guard too. But you said it broke, don't worry so did mine. Haha pos . I'm curious about finding the same kinda knife too. Which would have a impact tip for windows and a seat belt cutter. That gerber loooks cool.

sw. Lame. Anyway. I just got me a benchmade griptillian and I love it. It's well made and is still sharp after two months normal daily use. Seatbelt cutter? Uh, it's a knife. It'll cut seatbelts. Window punch? Isnt that what firefighters are for? In the rare event I'm first on scene... How about an o2 key or similar.

I know, those things are a cool design, but they're crap. I was surprised it broke seeing as I only used it a handful of times too.

And its not a great idea to use the knife blade as a seatbelt cutter. Too much of a risk of causing injury to the person you're trying to help. That's why seatbelt cutter blades are enclosed or are completely rounded off.

i like my ontario knives asek. i had a custom leather sheath made for mine though, with a snap keeper, and a money clip stitched in the back to clip onto things.

Mine broke on the pant clip that secures the small allen, so basically the clip wiggles. And the allen fell out. Other than that its fine... Easy fix. If you notice that enclosed blade on the rear is used for seat belts, and tearing clothing aside form the main blade.

I have a Spyderco Endura that I carried every day since I got it in 1991 until I retired in 2011. It is still razor sharp and I've never sharpened it and I use it all the time. I was afraid the plastic clip wouldn't last but it is still going strong
