    active shooter training

Without getting too into tactics on a public forum we had active shooter and officer rescue training today which included Sims. Good times.....especially when my depth has been slamming jdic and clets training down our throats cause its free. Enough paper training..how about something that will save lives.....

Ha, our "Civilian training" consists of 24"x18" posters that say, lock the door, call 911, and hide.

I like how training has gone from this ...

        ...

        To this ...

        and this ...

For what the hardware and ancillary stuff costs, plus it being dirt cheap per officer once the capital costs are covered.... and they are letting it sit?

            That's not terribly bright, IMO.

We are fully functional, including several magazines and the charging system. Don't get their reasoning...does anyone

I have to use that FOS (force option simulator) every so often to qualify. It's decent enough for the most part. We have the option of using less lethal devices as well as a firearm.

We are the opposite. Haven't had clets training forever. Did active shooter and FoF for almost 2 years straight (8 sessions). Started with sims, went to paintball, now airsoft, thanks to the budget, but still better than nothing.

Simunition rounds are great. I guess they are expensive though because they seem to be used very sparingly.

Some of the guys got to use umc. Supposed to be faster and more accurate then Sims. They sounded mean.

In the interest of full transparency of government, I'll gladly share tactics openly when it comes to active shooters.

We find you, we kill you with all that we got. The end. Any questions?
