    Is it just me?

I live in a fairly quiet neighborhood and everyone pretty much stays to themselves. RARELY have I seen LEO squad cars with the exception of the occasional college kid having one too many. Recently, more specifically, since I got back into collecting firearms, I feel as if Im being staked out. About EVERY day, I see LEO sitting in his squad car at various times of day and night, just hanging out. I was pulled over this morning, and it seemed he was looking for something else. I havent gotten pulled over since 2003. Also at my work, LIKE CLOCKWORK, two LEO squad cars sit across the street.
I will also add, the type of firearms I collect are from the Cold War era-meaning different types of AKs. I know FFLs must send a copy of my purchases to my local police chief, and the rate I have bought them must stick out too. Is it just a matter of time before ATF sends spiderman in black rappeling through my windows? Can any LEO provide advise stating that they DO keep an eye on gun collectors? Thanks in advanced.

Ever think they found a quite spot to catch up on paper work?

    You seem kinda paranoid.

And yes if you get pulled over, a leo is going to be looking for the possible hidden bad guy, not because he's harassing you.

Let me rephrase before I am turned into Lex Luther here. FFLs send a copy of the transaction to the Chief of Police in your town. Is that just recorded in city records or are the fellas given a list of armed citizens?

I don't know where you heard that but you are completely wrong.

FFLs do not send a copy of firearms transactions to law enforcement. During the DROS process handguns are registered in the state database, but long-guns are not. In fact, no information regarding the actual firearm is sent to the state. It is simply maintained with the 4473 on file at the gun shop.

            How do you "know" that?

After posting here, they will know that you are on to them. You can expect the SWAT team serving a search warrant any time now.

I think you're simply becoming more vigilant and/or aware of what's going on around you, and within your community. IMO, owning and/or collecting guns will do that to you sometimes.

just my thoughts, if in fact they were watching you, they wouldnt be sending patrol officers to do the surveillance. they would probably send a plain car with some type of UC's, no uniform, no orca whale car parked across the street trying to be sneaky...

and with all the budget cuts, i wouldnt expect a dept to waste their time watching a gun collector.unless of course you are reselling or modifying these weapons and selling them to dirtbags

Sorry, it's just you. You need another layer of tin foil, and stop believing everything you read in the "off topic" area.

I would think they would send ATF to stake you out, not the local fuzz. And like was said before, they wouldn't be so obvious about it. But then again, maybe someone in your neighborhood made a complaint against you. Not necessarily about your guns, but maybe something else. I dunno...
