On a lighter note, I want one of these:

I actually saw an old model car like that with the CHP emblem, lights, sirens, and the whole shebang in Sweden once. Gotta see if I can dig out the pic. I thought it was cool

A couple of years back the Butter and Egg Days parade in Petaluma featured a whole bunch of "classic" LE cars. I have photos of several on my laptop screensaver.

            Here is just one....

Lets see if I can get this correct.

Whenever the laws of any state are broken, a dully authorized agency swings into action. Whether it is called the State Police, State Militia or the Highway Patrol. 21-50 to headquarters.

Ah the TV shows of the 50ies.

Yep, I'll admit it; I watched that show all of the time as a kid.

Earliest police car I can remember driving was a late 70's AMC Matador.
Wouldn't mind having one of those now.

I've got a snap of a 70's Matador someplace from the same event. I'll have to find it. In the meantime does a 79 Fury bring back memories for anyone? How about the K9 station wagon behind it?
