Are you kidding me! Crown Vics Suck! Underpowered, overstear, poor suspension!

Wait until you guys drive the new Chevy. It feels like you are driving a high tech sports car with tons of interior space and plenty of trunk space for gear. It will smoke a 5.0 liter Mustang, handles like a BMW m5, suspension has little sway, steering is tight, has floor console shifter. It is a true Pursuit vehicle, unlike the Crown Vic. The CV is the most gutless police car I have ever driven. Great for Highway Patrol!

You must not have driven the pre 1993 Caprices. The only reason I caught the suspects in the pursuit, is because I couldn't keep the engine on when trying to turn the car around to drive to the location. By the time I got in the area, the suspect vehicle was headed straight toward me with all of the police vehicles aways back. I ended up making the felony stop on it after it turned onto another street and then the calvary showed up.

I am laughing here just picturing two uniformed cops with 70s hair and mustaches trying to make it up a steep driveway.

It was the late 1970s just so you know and one of us had an afro and we were both Caucasian (we still are in case anyone was thinking of commenting) Also, the driveway wasn't steep; just had a slight slope, which made it all the more embarrassing.

Retired, what did you do for the department where you had to deliver MAIL, even inter departmental mail, my god, that's why they have civilians. When I came on we were using 1973 AMC Matadors, 401 V8. Talk about fast!

LOL why all the hate for the Crown Vics? Ours handle great.
Of course those are the only patrol cars I've driven so I suppose I could be missing out.
