I have to admit, when I first started reading it I was thinking "ok, here is an officer with a chip on his shoulder"

But come on, the guy ran, fell down, a gun fell out of his pocket? refused to drop it?

if that is truly how it went down, regardless of the officers attitude, in that situation I dont see where he had any other choice..
    1 Peter 3:15

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect

    2 Corinthians 3:3
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

The bottom line... don't write, post video or otherwise commit to silicon anything that you wouldn't feel comfortable discussing to your bosses, in a deposition or on the stand at some point in the future.

Social networking sites are, in part, eye candy for the next generation. People get more comfortable, they are among their friends after all, and eventually lapse into who they really are and stuff like "human waste disposal" comes out.

Not having been there, none of us could say whether it was a good shoot or not but I'm going to give the LEO benefit of the doubt until the facts say otherwise. But this Facebook issue makes him look either really foolish, really jaded or really, really wrong. And none of those qualities are something I'd think many of us would want as a beat partner.

Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. -- James Madison

I don't put anything in print other than very neutral things and subjects. My thoughts and attitudes are my business and no one elses. Post what u really feel and you run the risk of being screwed by it later by so called FB "friends" or just some curious Internet lurker. I trust no one. It's safer that way.

Reminds me of the East Palo Alto incident...

Regardless of your profession, if you post something that may upset someone who reads it, be ready for the ensuing crap storm.
