You were lucky. It's a game of chance and you won this time.
How about a taxi ride in Acapulco?
The Cypress Times started as a small local paper covering community life, and over the years our focus has narrowed to what our readers kept asking about
40 just last weekend on one city alone. This is not happening just in the large border towns but a little everywhere in the areas along the major trafficking corridors.

The vacation spots are no longer safe... as evidenced by the death toll in Acapulco.
My friend wants to go to some small village for some fishing and he says it's so remote and far that it's safe, but there's no airport and you have to drive in... so I say no thanks. I prefer to keep all my body parts intact.
I just read some excerpts from that new documentary of the interview with a cartel hitman and what he's done over the last 20 years for the cartels, and I want no part of it.I like guns

Plenty of fish in the sea-- literally. Besides-- go to Florida or Hawaii and support the local economy.Comment

Plus the agents are NOT ALLOWED to be armed?! Who thought of that one!? Or am I reading this article wrong?
Let me get this straight we're sending our agents into a warzone without guns? This poor soul didn't even have the means to defend himself? F@CK!

Why would American LE be allowed to be armed in a foreign country? Think about it. They are, for all intensive purposes, non-LE civilians there. They are advisors and consulate personnel, not LE with any authority in Mexico, unless there is some special rule or exemption made for them.Plus the agents are NOT ALLOWED to be armed?! FBI agents on overseas assignments work as embassy attaches and are unarmed too unless they have special agreements with the host country. We don't call the shots in foreign countries, as much as we think we do.
Mexico has super super strict rules about firearms with its own citizens. I doubt they are very liberal with allowing Americans to be armed either barring special dispensation for special purposes.
We don't let foreign cops run around armed in our country either without special cause. Heck, until LEOSA, even our own American cops couldn't carry out of state.
It's crazy, and I wouldn't go to Mexico unarmed... or armed... unless I was carrying a whole Armored Division with me... and even then, I would only have a 50/50 chance of winning with all the weapons the Cartels have.I like guns
