PC 832 class

Do you need the law enforcement 832 course or the security guard course? Two very different animals. If you going to work as a security guard you need to get that specific training & credentials.

As code33 said, there is no longer two types of 832 courses. 832 was subsumed into Level III for LE, so the only 832 courses now are non-LE, but they are the ones you need for a guard job.

I took PC832 at Miramar College, great course with fantastic instructors.

Be aware (the last I heard) that the Miramar course is one week, 8 hours a day for five days.

Pasadena City College has one coming up on June 21. It is a straight 40 hour week. I know this is not closer for you, but is much quicker and PCC doesnt charge any extra fees except for the tuition. I was told this will probably be the last class for the rest of the year. They just cancelled the firearms section until the forceable future due to budget cuts. Who knows when they will offer another class. here is the link to the class info:
