from Tiffany&Co... made of sterling Silver.. blah blah blah... Yeah I know.. when I write your ticket out, it's in style. Though when I have you sign your ticket, you get the "violator" nasty pen I keep for your nasty signature. Everyone touches that one.

I tried the Zebra gel pen, but wasn't happy with how it wrote. I won't use anything but a Pilot G2 07 now. I buy them in bulk, and keep spares all over the place. It's the smoothest writing pen I've found. It's the transfers the smoothest on my department's citations and property forms. I carry a silver Cross pen in my class A pocket.

+1 on the Pilot G-2 Pens; but I buy in blue ink because I know which document signed is the original, such as warrants, reports, etc. Some agencies/departments only allow black ink, but I guess I am lucky.

So far, the best pens that I have is a set of Mont Blanc pens. Obviously, I don't use it for work.

You want to use them at work and not worry about it? Go to office depot, but the refils for mont blanc pens. Like 15$ for 2. At the end opposite the point, is a piece of plastic. File that down about 3-4mm and it the refill will fit into any G2 or G2pro.

If you don't feel like the work then w/e. But I'm just gonna say...I love my 15$ mont blanc

I favor the Bic Velocity pen. It is in pre-ban configuration, with a nice grip and select fire capability. It balances very well for a pen and will not break the bank on cost.

I use to use a Fisher space pen but I lost that one. I misplaced it somewhere.

I was a mechanical pencil guy for report writing as well. I kept a Parker Vector, love those pens, alongside the pencil in my shirt pocket. Gave a very clean appearance with the clips tucked under the pocket flap.

I always kept a simple Bic, the ones that there are boxes of at the office, tucked in my pinch book and another in the top of my shirt front for violator use.

I love love love my Zebra F-701.. Violators get to use a nasty pen from the office, but this thing rocks.. nice grip, flows smoothly. Definitely worth the money to me.

I use Parker Jotter. All the rave is "Tactical" pens. Benchmade, Wilson Combat, and others label them as last chance options-and charge $100.00. This may be a less expensive form of the same thing. This is a seconday weapon for sure.

I use whatever the supply clerks order....I do however maintain a client pen....extra robust for pressing hard to make it through the 3 copies.

For patrol I like the Bic Clic. inexpensive and reliable. I lost way too many pens in the field. Seatbelts were notorious for snagging the pen and tossing it into the street when you got out in a hurry.

Ok, I thought I was the only one that this happened to since I seem to lose pens alot. Or you go to write something down, can't find the pen and it's dangling from the seatbelt.

i am not leo but i do a lot of writing, and i like the papermate profile 1.4. lasts a long time and is comfortable to write with. plus they are cheap at walmart. smoothest pen ive ever used.
