The academy story Lt.Mike mentioned in another thread reminded of this old joke I heard awhile back. Those here who are LASD, will appreciate this more due to the friendly (for the most part) rivalry the dept.'s have with each other.
It seems both a LAPD officer and a LASD deputy were using the same public restroom at the same time. They both happened to be at the urinal (different ones in case you guys have gutter minds
) taking care of business.
Both being somewhat savvy, they figured out the other was a leo and began talking about who they worked for.
When the LAPD officer finished, he went to the sink and washed his hands. When he began drying them, the LASD deputy finished and began to walk toward the exit.
The LAPD officer said to him, "They taught us in the academy to wash our hands after going to the bathroom."
The LASD deputy responded, "They taught us in the academy not to piss on our hands."
