Sig P320 safety complaints

Does anyone avoid carrying P320 due to all those safety complaints? Just curious . I like my all my P320's a lot and never had any problems with mine.

No. I’ve attributed those issues to user error. The new release should be g2g but YMMV

Doesn't seem to be the case, evidenced by 4 separate people picking up their new P320's the other day, one after another when I was there DROS'ing a new G19.

Carrying it (in a proper holster) would be no different than storing it in a safe.

If you're that worried about it, get one with a manual safety.

I have the safety’d M17 and the no safety 320. The safety is way too close to the slide catch. Both are otherwise very good pistols.

The Sig P320 is ALWAYS in a state of perpetual ?cocked? operation. The striker is literally always cocked back under spring tension, held back by a flimsy and poorly designed (in my opinion) tiny piece of weak metal. It?s a part that Sig redesigned after so many (((BOOMS))) went off without pulling the trigger. Unlike a Glock, which NEVER has the striker constantly under spring tension and ready to fail like a mousetrap with a gust of wind hitting it. Glocks design have their strikers literally pulled back and then release only when the trigger is pulled fully rearward. It?s a much much safer design than the Sig ?POS?-320.

They shoulda called that gun the ?POS 4:20 because somebody was definitely high when they designed that POS.

Our department has a very liberal off-duty/backup policy. That being said, we prohibited the 320?s and 365?s. You can qual with a derringer, but not a 320.

Like trailerpark said, the fundamental design is flawed IMO.

"User error" seems to be more prevent with the 320 series. I was done with that gun when the videos of drop and hammer strike firing came out.
