Its actually quite common for traffic police in other countries to be unarmed traffic enforcement only. I'm not surprised that we are trying it out over here.

Yes, unarmed "officers" should be utilized to pull people over or mitigate domestic disputes. I mean, those are about the safest issues police deal with.

I have a solution to all of this "they're just using pretext stops to target minorities" crap. Sacramento, just repeal all of those pesky vehicle codes! Why have laws you are forbidden to enforce?
