General patrol gets Sig m400 tactical with a vortex strike Eagle 1-6. Previously they wore DRMO’d comp m2’s or Aimpoint pro’s. Before that we were running DRMO A2’s/A1’s. I carry an MP7 with a sig Romeo 4T .

Didn't LAPD get some free M16's from the government? Not sure if LASD did.

Per Caputo - Colt with an Aimpoint (PRO, M or H series) no need for NV settings unless your "team" runs them.

Aimpoint tech makes their batteries last a long time!

Colt brand MK-18-ish with an 11.5" barrel, Romeo 5 optic, geissele handguards, but shifting to Geissele....yey!

Anyone else have some hands on with the Colt Enhanced Patrol Rifle? I picked one upper up from brownells and very happy with it. Nice handguard, full length, mid-length gas system and light weight.

What batteries are you using in the Pro? I can't seem to get more than 6 months out of mine and that's with turning on and off every day.

I use the Energizer 2L76. I think i replaced the battery that came with my PRO late 2019 (since that's when I bought new ones according to Prime), and it's still going strong. I should probably replace it again soon just to be safe.

During my work week, the optic goes on BOW and off EOW. At the end of the work week, my rifle comes home with me and is stored in car carry/optic on as it sits in my safe.

I'll have to give that battery a try and see if I get better life out of it. I wish we could take our rifles home, but policy does not allow it, which is great for people to train and become proficient with...

I'm just glad I've got my own stuff to shoot, but I work with a lot of young guys who don't and we have not qualified with any of our guns at my dept in close to a year. Had a newer guy tell me today that he hasn't used his AR in so long, he has no idea how to even take it apart.

Started patrol rifle with a DRMO M16A1 and TA01 LAW.

Private Purchase Colt 6920 with Aimpoint T1.

Issued HK416D with private purchase T2 and 3x Magnifier. I like the T1 but when using a magnifier, the T2 has a sharper dot.

I ran a T1 with magnifier in a Guerilla Approach Urban Rifle course with Aaron Barruga and struggled with my astigmatism and the blob of the T1 under magnifier.

If you're LE or MIL, hit up Strohman Enterprises for Aimpoint.

Personal purchase- Colt 6920 is what I started with. Replaced the rail with geiselle, grip with bcm, bcm butt stock, and geiselle super combat trigger. Streamlight tac light with tape switch. Cloud defensive tape switch mount. That mount has been awesome wouldn't run a rifle without one now. Also an Aimpoint pro. Haley strategic sling.

That's awesome. Any modification to the trigger is a no go with my agency. Even on a personal rifle. Trigger has to be stock.

Ya its a little odd they allow for more changes to a rifle but we can't for handguns.
