        Remember you are not under arrest, but you are being detained while they (the store clerk, not the LEO) sort things out.

        When they (again the store clerk, not the LEO) ask to see your ID, just show them. Saying you know your rights or making comments about "Papers, please!" isn't going to help matters.

        You may have heard people tell you never talk to the police. I do not recommend taking this approach; it will simply drag things out.

        Finally, don't make any sudden movements. We need to maintain proper social distances and if you're quickly moving around it makes it hard for other people to give you appropriate space.

          I’ve bought and sold a couple handguns with LEO or ex-LEO, same DROS process. Just respect their privacy, some forum members that are LEO don’t want to be outed.
